About the Role
The Centre for Experimental Medicine & Rheumatology (EMR) is seeking a Senior Research Nurse to provide expert clinical and administrative support to our portfolio of commercial and academic rheumatology research studies, including regulated clinical trials (CTIMPs).
This senior role is pivotal to our team. You will be responsible for coordinating all the aspects of the research trials, including managing staff rota's with the EMR lead, trouble shoot to unblock any issues that may arise, day-to-day management and delivery of commercial and academic rheumatology research studies, including regulated clinical trials (CTIMPs), at the Inflammatory Arthritis Centre at Mile End Hospital.
The post holder will be working predominantly at Mile End Hospital, where our clinical trials are delivered, however, they may be required to travel across different sites within EMR (e.g. the Campus at Charterhouse Square) and Bart’s Health NHS Trust.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project
EMR opened in May 2007 and is led by Professor Costantino Pitzalis. You will join a 60-strong research team dedicated to understanding the disease pathogenesis and improving the treatment of several musculoskeletal diseases including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Sjogren’s syndrome and Osteoarthritis. EMR is part of the newly awarded Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).

The post is based at the Mile End Campus London, full time 35 hours per week, fixed term appointment for 12 months. The salary will be £44,288 - £51,755p/a depending on experience & current grading inclusive of London Allowance.
