The role
Do you enjoy working with your hands, learning new manufacturing techniques, and helping others bring their ideas to life?
As a Mechanical Workshop Technician, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic, hands-on environment within the university. You'll operate laser cutters and 3D printers, support a variety of design and manufacturing projects, and contribute to essential workshop tasks such as equipment maintenance and health and safety documentation.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys collaborating with others, and wants to develop practical skills in a real-world manufacturing setting. You'll work closely with students, staff, and researchers. Helping them take their ideas from concept to creation. Your day-to-day tasks will range from preparing CAD files for manufacturing, to managing stock and supporting safe, efficient workshop practices.
