Applications are invited for the above full-time maternity cover post working in the Centre for Health Economics and Medicines Evaluation (CHEME).
The purpose of this role is to support a number of research projects within the public health and prevention economics portfolio at PHERG CHEME. The successful candidate will also, in a team setting, help generate rapid reviews answering questions set by stakeholders via the Health and Care Research Wales Evidence Centre.
Research duties will involve rapid reviews and collaborative working on a research project portfolio, report writing and proofreading. The candidate will also support maximising the visibility of the Centre and its impact.
These duties involve updating and maintaining internally- and public-facing webpages, as well as wider communications and dissemination of impact. The post holder will have a keen eye for detail and be able to proofread complex academic materials.
Candidates should be educated to PhD level (or equivalent) and have some previous experience of working in a research setting or bring experience from health economics and/or knowledge of health services research and social science. They should have solid understanding of research outputs and impact within a Higher Education (HE) context gained through their own researcher activities, as well as have excellent writing skills and ability to work to tight deadlines. They should demonstrate enthusiasm for multi- and trans-disciplinary research.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible. The post will be initially for nine months, but there may be an opportunity for a further extension which at this time is uncertain and unconfirmed.
This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
