An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quality Officer to join our Academic Quality Unit at the University of Worcester.
The Academic Quality Unit is a dynamic team who proactively provide compliance and standards oversight, foster continuous improvement, and offer expert advice to maintain and enhance the University’s academic quality, to meet the evolving needs of the organisation.
As a Senior Quality Officer, you will manage and co-ordinate a programme of periodic reviews and course approvals, liaising with senior members of staff to advise on, negotiate, and plan the schedule of quality engagements, providing appropriate training, advice and guidance for Schools and panel members.
With your experience in academic quality in a Higher Education context, you will be able to advise on regulatory compliance, and will develop specialist expertise related to one or more of collaborative provision and academic partnerships, apprenticeships, external examiners, PSRBs, data management, student engagement, and curriculum design. It is likely that you will be asked to focus on curriculum design in particular. You will also support, advise, and act as minuting Secretary for relevant University committees.
You will bring excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively as part of a team and liaise with colleagues and stakeholders across the University and partner institutions.
This is a busy and varied role, with much scope for individual initiative. In this post, you will be able to play a vital part in supporting the university’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing academic quality and standards.
As a University, we are committed to providing an outstanding, inspirational, and inclusive student experience and these values permeate our work.
If you are a proactive and resourceful professional, with attention to detail and strong administrative and analytical skills, this is a great opportunity to join a busy and friendly team and continue to develop a professional career in higher education.
What's in it for you?
