We (Queen Mary Students’ Union) are a democratic, membership-led charity that exists to improve students’ lives. You will support this mission by being the front face of the Students’ Union Hub, answering questions, providing support and directions as well as processing room bookings and so much more. Every day will be different, and you’ll be the go-to person who knows what’s going on and where to find it, and you’ll get the buzz of making someone’s day that little bit easier. The Customer Service Administrator role is also about creating a welcoming, energetic, and supportive atmosphere right at the Students’ Union’s front door. If you love variety, enjoy chatting with people from all walks of life, and want to play a real part in shaping the student experience, this is the role for you.
The Students’ Union supports over 28,000 students who make up the diverse and vibrant student body at Queen Mary University of London.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent position. The starting salary will be £29,818 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of the London allowance, with annual raises by one point as set out in the QMUL Pay and Grading Structure. Benefits include 30 days of annual leave plus university closure days and bank holidays, a pension scheme, free gym membership, 20% off in our outlets, and an interest-free TFL/Railway season ticket loan.
The role is predominantly in person, with occasional opportunities to work from home. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this further.
QMSU is a great place to learn and develop your career. You will have access to excellent training opportunities and will work with people who are excited to share their knowledge and help you learn new skills.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required, this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points-Based Immigration Scheme.
QMSU is proud to be an Equal Opportunities employer, and we are committed to equality of opportunity for all applicants regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability status, class, or any other dimension of diversity. Reasonable adjustments will be made at each stage of the recruitment process for any candidate with a disability. We particularly welcome applications from Black and minority ethnic candidates, as this group is currently underrepresented within the Union.
