About the role
The Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), within the University of Sussex Business School, is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work with Dr Ohid Yaqub. The Research Fellow will be part of a team working on an ESRC funded Metascience project.
As a Research Fellow, your principal duty will be to contribute to the development of research publications from this project.
About you
You should have a completed PhD (i.e. viva complete, no corrections outstanding) and be fluent in oral and written English. Some of your work will have already been published at least once in a highly respected journal with a wide audience (such as Research Policy). You have some experience of working on categorisation problems and algorithmic classification.
You have used a range of data science, statistical and/or bibliometric techniques in your work. You have a strong interest in science and technology policy studies and the ‘science of science’. You have some experience of working in settings that involve sensitive and/or confidential data.
