The post
The Faculty wishes to recruit a Research Fellow with systematic review and information science experience to join the HOPE (optimising Health Outcomes for PEople experiencing homelessness) project.
This externally funded post is available from 1st November 2025 to 30th April 2027 and the successful applicant will work with the HOPE team to better understand what is known about health and social care services in homelessness that impact on health and emergency care. The role will involve developing and maintaining an evidence gap map investigating health outcomes for people experiencing homelessness, undertaking a systematic review with a focus on emergency care, and facilitating systems mapping workshops with a variety of individuals including medical practitioners, charity representatives, housing specialists and people who have experience of homelessness.
About you
The successful applicant will be able to work well with research and topic experts to conduct high quality reviews. They will lead on the writing up of findings for a variety of audiences, as well as organise and run workshops with relevant groups. Experience with co-production techniques in research will be a benefit.
Applicants will possess a relevant PhD or have equivalent qualification/experience in conducting and managing all elements of evidence syntheses. The successful applicant must be able to work collaboratively and act as project leader as required.
Research activities will include leading on search methods and reference management, evidence synthesis tasks including writing protocols, screening, data extraction, critical appraisal and collation of findings. Other duties will include creating and managing the evidence and gap map and facilitating systems mapping workshops with relevant groups.
