The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities.
We are looking to recruit a User Services and Administration Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small IT team in a leading research university.
The User Services & Administration team provide support to staff and post-graduate students in many areas including user account administration, shared folders and mailboxes, print services, software support and some specialist activities.
Alongside taking part in the above duties and leading the team with these activities, it is expected that the role will be a good mix of support and projects; you will be covering a wide range of tasks and meeting a wide range of people. You may take the lead in many technical projects and challenges relating to the User Services & Administration area, which will include liaising with various teams both internal and external to IT Services. You will be required to manage the workload of the team as well as your own and to perform line management duties. The team will also be on the rota for the front line helpdesk alongside colleagues from our other support teams.
This role would suit an individual who has some line management or supervisor experience and a background in supporting users with IT issues and requests. The User Services & Administration Manager is required to be technically minded but also customer and service focused. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £45,728 - £51,872 per annum pro-rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
