Background
The Department of Performing Arts was formed in August 2022, bringing together the renowned Department of Music which has been a part of City’s fabric for more than 45 years and is rated first in the UK for outputs in Music research (REF2021), and the prestigious musical theatre training provider, Urdang. Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint two outstanding practitioners as Performing Arts Coordinators (two-year fixed term posts, 0.5 FTE).
The roles will foster community and provide dedicated support across all campuses through the medium of performing arts, engaging staff and students from across the university. It will help individuals realise their artistic and creative potential by delivering tailored coaching, workshops, and resources. Working closely with faculty and student support services, the Performing Arts Coordinators will promote resilience, confidence, and peak performance, enriching the unique and vibrant culture of City St George’s.
Person Specification
Candidates will need to have experience working within the professional performing arts industry as a creative practitioner and a relevant qualification in coaching, mentoring, or a related field.
