Join us at the Pandemic Sciences Institute (PSI), University of Oxford—a world-leading centre dedicated to tackling infectious disease threats and advancing global health through cutting-edge research, innovation, and collaboration.
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Communications to shape and lead PSI’s communications strategy, driving our visibility and influence on a global stage. This pivotal role will oversee a talented Communications and Events team and report directly to the Director and Business Manager.
As Head of Communications, you will play a central role in telling PSI’s story—developing bold campaigns, managing our brand, and building strong relationships with partners, media, government, and funders. You will lead high-profile communications initiatives and events, including our flagship international conference, and represent PSI externally, for example as Chair of the Africa Pandemic Sciences Collaborative Communications Working Group.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished communications leader with significant experience in higher education or research. You will bring expertise in media engagement, stakeholder relations, and strategic planning, as well as the creativity, diplomacy, and leadership skills to inspire others and deliver real impact in the field of global health.
