Background

A key role to enhance the employability of postgraduates by managing the operations of approximately 120 credit-bearing Industry Projects (IPs) each academic year. The projects provide students with an opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world business challenges set by external companies, while developing essential research and professional skills. The post-holder has ownership of the administrative and operational processes working with employers, academic staff, and students to ensure successful project outcomes. A central role to Bayes' wider engagement and employability strategy to build long-term industry relationships.

Responsibilities

This role focuses on Industry Project Coordination and Lifecycle Management working alongside academics, internal teams, external project providers and students to ensure all parties are aligned and compliant with academic standards for Industry Projects (MSc). Responsibilities include employer engagement, selection management, smooth communication and final project evaluation and reporting. Key duties will include monitoring deadlines, posting IPs on the internal system, tracking metrics and answering queries and ensuring a positive experience for external partners and students.

Person Specification

Candidates need to have a strong understanding of the postgraduate landscape with knowledge of postgraduate business education and a demonstrable understanding of professional skills required at a postgraduate level. A background in corporate facing business development with proven cross sector success is essential. Expertise in project, process and administrative ownership and delivery is required. Key skills of managing deadlines without sacrificing details and data driven report writing are necessities. Evidence of working with to different stakeholders (internal and external) at all levels is crucial.
