Christ’s College invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the full-time, permanent post of Deputy College Librarian. Joining a library team of 6 (including this post), the role reports to the College Librarian and supports the efficient day-to-day running of all areas of the Library.
Serving approximately 440 undergraduates, 270 post-graduates and 90 Fellows, plus visiting researchers, the library’s collections comprise its modern collection and the rare books and manuscripts collection housed in the Old library (including first editions by John Milton and Charles Darwin). With particular responsibility for the acquisition of modern printed books and for assisting with the management of the College’s special collections, this post would suit an experienced team player with the ability to work pro-actively and effectively with a wide range of library users.
The salary for the post is £32,017 - £36,498 per annum, which equates to points 34-39 on the University of Cambridge single salary spine.
