We are seeking to appoint a 1.0 FTE Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence.

As a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence, you’ll have an emerging record of research and/or scholarship, with experience of working with diverse teams, and you’ll be able to translate this into a teaching experience that is unparalleled in the university sector.

You’ll want to accelerate your personal and career growth by immersing yourself in a stimulating environment. You’ll be looking to develop your skills and experience working alongside university students, and you’ll demonstrate your drive to achieve excellence.

You’ll want a supportive environment that expects you to succeed, and you’ll have a clear vision of a rewarding and fulfilling career. A PhD in a relevant area is essential for this position.

This post may be required to support our overseas collaborative teaching provision, and it is essential that candidates are able to travel abroad and work away from their UK base for up to six weeks, typically once or twice per year.

We are particularly interested in candidates who are active in two or more of the following areas:

- machine learning
- data analytics
- computer vision
- natural language processing
- semantic web
- knowledge representation and reasoning
- formal logic
- discrete mathematics
- automated planning
