Are you passionate about advancing Maritime Decarbonisation and Renewable Energy through groundbreaking research? Southampton Solent University has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our vibrant research team as part of the Innovate UK’s project ‘Wightlink FastCat.’
About ‘Wightlink FastCat’: The Wightlink FastCat project has been awarded funding through the UK Government’s Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition Round 6 (CMDC6), delivered by Innovate UK for the Department for Transport (DfT) under the UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE) programme.
In partnership with M3MAS Limited, Wightlink Limited, Ameresco Limited, Southampton Solent University, and Supply Chain Analysis Ltd, this seven-month feasibility study will design a roadmap to eliminate diesel engine use while Wightlink’s high-speed passenger ferries are docked at Portsmouth Harbour and Ryde Pier Head.
