Our services and programmes help create an inclusive and vibrant student experience, with sport and physical activity playing a vital role in promoting wellbeing, engagement, and community impact.
We are looking for an experienced BUCS/LUSL administrator ready to step into a broader leadership role as Club Sport Coordinator. You will lead the operational and developmental delivery of QMSU's Club Sport programme, supporting over 60 student-led sports clubs to thrive in competitive sport while managing professional coaches, budgets, and club development.
The role involves coordinating QMSU's participation in BUCS and LUSL competitions, overseeing fixture administration and compliance, managing coach recruitment and development, and delivering impactful training programmes for student club leaders. You will also line-manage the Club Sport Administrator Intern and represent QMSU at external sports networks and meetings.
You will need experience in higher education sport administration, with strong knowledge of BUCS and LUSL structures, rules, and compliance requirements. Proven abilities in budget management, data analysis, and training delivery are essential, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills. A passion for enhancing student experiences through sport and a commitment to working in a democratic, student-led environment will ensure success in this varied and rewarding role.
This full-time position is based on-site, with flexible working arrangements reviewed following successful completion of probation. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, a defined benefits pension scheme, an interest-free season ticket loan, and Sport and Fitness Centre membership.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required, this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points-Based Immigration Scheme.
