An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr. Amit Sachdeva in the School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology at the University of East Anglia, United Kingdom. This position is funded by the Cancer Research UK. The proposed research work aims to develop reliable and ultrafast methods for detection of cancer biomarkers. As a Senior Research Associate you will contribute to the research programme, analyse and interpret data, write up results in peer-reviewed journals, and present information on research progress.
You will have a PhD level qualification in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry or related fields with significant independent laboratory experience in molecular biology and biochemistry. Experience in directed evolution-based approaches and/ or organic synthesis of small molecules will be advantageous. You will also have strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to analyse and interpret data and work effectively as part of a team.
This full-time post is available from 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026.
