Southampton Solent University, awarded triple TEF Gold in 2023 for our outstanding teaching, learning, and student outcomes, is seeking to appoint an Associate Lecturer in Computer Science focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a university recognized for its excellence in higher education. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Associate Lecturer in computing to join our Computing team.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of modules for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes related to Python, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and other related areas of Computer Science, as required by the University, and to contribute to the achievement of the School’s and the University’s plans and objectives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to play a key part in advancing our teaching and research profile in the rapidly evolving field of AI and Data Science. We are seeking an outstanding academic with the vision and ability to deliver high quality teaching. research and scholarly practice. The ideal candidate will have practical expertise in programming related to machine learning and data science. We also expect the candidate either hold or be willing to undertake a recognised teaching qualification upon joining the university. Industry experience and membership of a relevant professional body are advantageous.
