Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. Based within NDPH, The China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB) Study is a uniquely rich and powerful global resource for investigating the environmental and genetic determinants of common chronic diseases.
We are seeking a Data Wrangler to support to support the day-to-day operations CKB Data Group. The role will include elements of Data Engineering, Data Curation, and Data Analysis. Working closely with a multi-discipline team of software developers, systems testers, epidemiologists, statisticians, clinicians, and administrative staff, the successful applicant will ensure smooth continuation and expansion of the study. Duties will include integrating and managing vast amount of complex data, investigating and resolving data issues.
To be considered for the Data Wrangler role, you will have a BSc in a scientific or numerate subject and have technical competency, including the ability to use a progamming language. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong reasoning and numeracy skills.
The position is full time (part time considered) and fixed term for 2 years in the first instance. The closing date for applications is noon on Friday 7 November 2025.
