The University’s treasury function is critical to its financial health, ensuring effective cash and liquidity management, compliance with financial regulations, and maximising investment returns. With daily requirement of UOL’s cash management, increasing complexity of our financial operations, regulatory and statutory requirements, and our strategic ambitions, the need for a robust and well-resourced treasury team is essential.
Reporting to Head of Finance Operations, you will play a key role in the effective cash and liquidity management and monitoring the cashflow for the University. You will be an experienced Treasury Manager with good understanding of financial markets and banking, associated risks and controls, and have excellent analytical and investigative skills.
The post offers an exciting opportunity to design and implement improvements to existing treasury processes, enhanced treasury reporting and investment returns. In this role you will take the initiative and ownership of all relevant internal policies and procedures in line with current financial regulations and their effective application across the institution.
You will be an experienced and highly motivated individual with knowledge of working in large complex organisations, who is able to perform effectively under pressure, often working towards deadlines and is expected to act independently, with limited supervision from your manager. You will be responsible for coordinating the work of others, leading projects, or acting as a key contact for complex queries. As there are technical aspects to the role you will be a member of a recognised accounting professional body. You will help to drive efficiency, and service excellence to support the delivery of high-quality services that underpins the University's strategic and operational priorities. You will help foster a collaborative and supportive work culture, contributing to ongoing service innovation. A high degree of accuracy, efficiency and a focus on customer service, and the ability to work independently are essential.
The post is to cover a period of maternity leave that is expected to last up to 12 months.
