Sport & Physical Activity is the department of the University of Sheffield that coordinates all aspects of sport, including facilities and related services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greeting and welcoming customers with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
  • Assisting customers with the use of payment kiosks and online booking processes.
  • Providing outstanding customer service by answering general enquiries and addressing concerns.
  • Taking payments and ensuring all transactions are processed accurately.
  • Signposting customers to various activities and services within the university.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient front of house operation.
  • Participating in training sessions to stay updated on new technologies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong understanding of technology and the ability to assist others with its use.
  • A high level of enthusiasm and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • A dedication to delivering a world-class customer experience.
