Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for creating safe, welcoming, and well-run environments? We are looking for a proactive and organised Facilities Supervisor/Custodian to take charge of our front-of-house operations, custodial services, catering, and cleaning teams. This is a dynamic role at the heart of our department, where no two days are the same.

You will be involved in customer service support and respond to queries regarding cleaning, catering and reception. You will lead and mentor our cleaning/catering and reception team. You will manage rotas and assign tasks to the team's members. You will ensure safety rules and regulations are observed (especially food safety). You will work closely with our Building team to provide support for minor maintenance tasks, fire alarm testing and security to the building. This is a hands-on role covering custodian work and other responsibilities as needed.

The successful candidate will be used to working in a busy environment. The role involves day-to-day contact with academic, professional service staff and students and requires the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. You will have good organisational, and interpersonal skills, as well as proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience in supervising a team and in building, housekeeping and safety will be an advantage.
