We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate to join the Ryten Group at the UK Dementia Research Institute at the University of Cambridge.
The post is a fixed term post of 2-years funded by the UK Dementia Research Institute.
We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate to join the Ryten Group at the UK Dementia Research Institute at the University of Cambridge. The major purpose of this postdoctoral position is to establish, optimise, and expand long-read DNA and RNA sequencing capacity within the Ryten Group. The successful candidate will develop and implement cutting-edge sequencing strategies to investigate the transcriptomic and genetic mechanisms underpinning complex sporadic and inherited familial neurological disorders. This role will contribute directly to the UKDRIâs mission of advancing our understanding of dementia biology and accelerating translational impact for patients.

Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will initially be appointed as a Research Assistant (Grade 5, Point 38 £34,610) moving to Research Associate (Grade 7) upon confirmation of your PhD award.
