Situated in the heart of Birmingham—one of the UK’s most diverse and vibrant cities—Aston has a thriving alumni community of over 120,000 graduates across 140 countries.

The Alumni Relations team is part of the Business Development & Advancement directorate and plays a vital role in connecting alumni to opportunities that enhance the University’s reputation, support international recruitment, and create real-world impact. This is an exciting time to join the team, as Aston expands its presence in key global markets.

We are seeking an Alumni Relations Manager (International) to lead and grow Aston’s international alumni networks, especially in countries aligned with our recruitment and reputation goals. Working closely with colleagues across Alumni Relations, International Recruitment, Development, Marketing, and Careers & Placements, you will engage influential alumni and networks to support Aston’s global ambitions.

This role will mobilise alumni as ambassadors—sharing their experience to support prospective students, promote Aston in international markets, and highlight global opportunities. It requires a collaborative approach, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of cross-cultural engagement.

A degree or equivalent experience is required. The role involves international travel and occasional evening/weekend work to connect with alumni across time zones.
