We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Compliance Officer (Trusted Research) to join the University’s Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Service (RIKE).
The postholder will provide support and guidance to the Compliance and Integrity Manager in identifying and mitigating risks related to international collaboration in line with UK legislation and funder requirements, specifically around Trusted Research. A key aspect of the role will be to help embed a culture of Trusted Research and good research practice within the University.
You will provide expert advice and guidance to the University community, keeping up to date with changes to external regulatory requirements and implementing changes as necessary. You will ensure that the University is compliant with external standards and codes of practice, including the Concordat to Support Research Integrity.
Experience of working in a similar role at a UK university is required, as is having knowledge and experience of monitoring policies and implementing them within a work setting. You will have excellent communication skills and an awareness of the key challenges in the higher education sector relating to trusted research.
A strong understanding of export licensing regulations and compliance with Trusted Research requirements is essential.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties). Up to two days per week can be worked from home, following successful completion of the induction period, which is office-based.
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
