Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant position, at Oxford University, Department of Physics. The post is associated with the ERC Grant - TRANGINEER with responsibility for carrying out research on numerical engineering of quantum phase transitions. The post holder provides guidance to less experienced members of the research group, including postdocs, research assistants, technicians, and will have the opportunity to teach. 
 
Applicants should hold (or be close to completing) a PhD. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a capacity for independent research work and an ability to collaborate across disciplines. Previous experience of numerical modelling of quantum critical phenomena would be desirable.
 
The post is full time and fixed term for 2 years with a possibility of extension.
