Join our Facilities Team as a Mobile Facilities Support Assistant!
We are looking for a Mobile Facilities Support Assistant at the University of Oxford to join our Facilities Management (FM) Team. You will play a key part in ensuring that our buildings are safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone who studies, teaches, and works here.
Location: Across University of Oxford sites
Contract: 36.5 hours per week. This role operates on a seven-day rotational shift pattern.

About the Role
You will support the delivery of essential services contributing directly to the high standards expected at the University of Oxford.
You will carry out general building tasks, assist with minor repairs, undertake safety checks, and help prepare rooms for meetings and lectures. The role also includes supporting security operations, monitoring the presentation of facilities, and liaising with staff, students, and visitors to provide outstanding customer service.
This is a varied and rewarding position for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and interacting with people. You will receive full training, including manual handling, first aid, and building system training, and will be provided with a uniform. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet operational needs, with opportunities for overtime.
About You
You’ll bring a professional, approachable manner with proven front-line customer service skills, strong organisation and team support abilities.
You will also need basic IT proficiency with a willingness to learn new systems, a proactive and adaptable mindset with practical DIY skills, plus excellent attention to detail, reliability, and discretion.
You will also need to be flexible as the shift patterns could change.
