About the Role
Bodleian Library Publishing, part of the Bodleian Libraries within the Gardens, Libraries and Museums (GLAM) division, brings the riches of Oxford’s libraries to readers around the world through beautifully produced and authoritative books.
You will provide financial administration support for Bodleian Library Publishing, ensuring the smooth and accurate management of financial processes. This will include raising and receipting purchase orders through Oracle Financials, maintaining accurate financial records in the title management system, generating reports, and preparing author royalty statements. You will also liaise closely with the Bodleian Accounts department and ensure compliance with University financial procedures.
This is an opportunity to play a vital role within a small and dynamic publishing team, contributing to the success of a department that helps sustain the Bodleian’s world-class collections through its publishing activities.
This is a permanent, part-time post, working 21.9 hours per week. Due to the nature of the role and the daily collaboration required with team members, the post is based onsite at the Clarendon Building, although some flexibility may be possible regarding when hours are worked.
About You
You will have solid financial administration experience and a high level of numeracy and attention to detail. You will be confident working with financial systems, such as Oracle Financials, and have excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and database systems. Strong organisational and time management skills will enable you to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
You will also be an effective communicator who enjoys working collaboratively within a small, friendly team, contributing to a busy and varied publishing environment.
Diversity
Our staff and students come from all over the world, and we proudly promote a friendly and inclusive culture. Diversity is positively encouraged, through diverse groups and champions, as well as a number of family-friendly policies, such as the right to apply for flexible working and support for staff returning from periods of extended absence, for example, shared parental leave.
We are committed to ensuring that our recruitment processes are inclusive and accessible. If you require the job description or any other materials in an alternative format, or if you would like to request any adjustments to support you through the application or interview process, please contact the recruitment team at recruitment@glam.ox.ac.uk.
