As Research Communication Assistant, you will work closely with the project leader to advance research that sits at the nexus of health, social and arts-based research.

You will be supporting with data analysis, reviewing literature and communicating findings.
Secondly, you will be leading the technical development of a community engagement blog. Crucially, you will be responsible for implementing best practices for accessibility, including embedding multimodal research output and optimising the site for use with assistive technology.
To succeed in this position, you must have prior experience developing and maintaining websites using Wordpress.org. You will need a strong foundation in qualitative social research skills (e.g. sociology, psychosocial studies, anthropology) or in a relevant humanities subject (e.g. human geography, history, archaeology), ideally at postgraduate research level. Given the focus on research output, editorial and proof-reading skills are essential.
The role can be largely carried out on a flexible and remote basis, but fortnightly meetings in person in Bloomsbury, Euston, London will be required.
This opportunity would build on experience as: Research Assistant, Web Editor, or Content Designer. So, if you are interested in this fixed-term, part-time contract, working at Birkbeck - apply with us today.
