This is an open-ended subject to funding contract with funding for two years

Launched in January 2025, the Global School of Sustainability (GSoS) will become a centre of expertise, helping to drive inclusive economic growth, environmental protection, and social equity. It will convene global experts, inform policy, and train the next generation of sustainability leaders, building on the outstanding work of departments and researchers across LSE.

In this formative stage, the GSoS seeks a highly organised, proactive, and adaptable Executive Assistant to support Professor Nicholas Stern and Dr Andrew Steer. The postholder will play a central role in coordinating complex activities, supporting high-profile engagements, and ensuring the effective delivery of priorities across research, policy, and institutional partnerships.

The ideal candidate will require:

  • Considerable experience providing executive or administrative support to senior stakeholders, coordinating complex activities, logistics, and stakeholder liaison.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver multiple workstreams to a high standard under minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft high-quality correspondence and engage confidently with senior academics, policymakers, and external partners.
  • A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach, with the professionalism and discretion required to support senior leaders in a dynamic environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a new and ambitious School at a world-leading institution, gaining exposure to high-level research, global partnerships, and sustainability-focused policy work.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
