About the Role
The School of the Arts is looking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified Programme and Quality Officer to support the Professional Services team in overseeing and managing the administration of assessment processes within the School.
The role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of multiple forms of assessment within diverse in-sessional, pre-sessional, foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This will involve overseeing and administering all processes and policies related to examinations and assessment, providing expert advice to staff and students, supporting the Subject Examination Boards and maintaining strong professional relationships with External Examiners. They will work closely with the Student Engagement Manager and Chair of Exams within the School to implement strategies relating to assessment for the School’s programmes.
About You
You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate significant experience of working in a higher education environment in an assessment-related role. You will have experience of servicing committees, demonstrable detailed understanding of academic regulations in a higher education institution and experience of using large student databases. You must be able to demonstrate excellent time management and communications skills, problem-solving skills and a high level of accuracy in your work.

The post is full-time and permanent with an expected start date of 1st January 2026. The starting salary will be Grade 4, £40,015- £46,618 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
