This post offers the opportunity to contribute to an engaging undergraduate module in Birkbeck Business School at Birkbeck, University of London. Management Accounting is a compulsory module for students enrolled on our undergraduate programmes.

The module provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of management accounting, offering students the foundational knowledge and practical skills needed for further study in accounting, finance, and business. Topics include the concept and role of management accounting in overall function of management; cost and management accounting in decision-making; and management accounting methods in changing business environment. The appointed individual should possess sound knowledge of management accounting and/or accounting principles and practices, ideally with experience in teaching accounting to undergraduate students. A commitment to supporting student learning and academic development is essential.

The primary responsibility of the postholder will be to lead the weekly in-person sessions, which are designed to be interactive rather than lecture-based, incorporating exercises and problem-solving activities. The role also involves the marking of assignments. The Module Convenor, named in this advertisement as the key contact, will oversee the module and provide ongoing support to the person appointed.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Tutor on the following modules:
