Our University
Ravensbourne University London is a dynamic institution at the intersection of creativity, business, and technology. Based in London’s Design District in the heart of North Greenwich, we are home to a diverse, global community in one of the world’s most vibrant business and creative hubs.
The Role
We are looking for a Student Success Manager to join our Access and Participation Team.
The Student Success Manager (Access and Participation) will play a crucial role in delivering and evaluating the intervention strategies in our Access and Participation Plan to close gaps across student success. They will lead the Transition and Support Programme for an identified cohort of learners to support students' whole journey at RUL, starting from when they become an offer holder through to completion of their Undergraduate studies. In this central role, you will be required to work proactively and collaboratively with operational and academic teams across the University to ensure students from target groups have equitable access to learning and teaching, support services and careers and professional support.
The Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students from underrepresented backgrounds, along with the knowledge of research and practice based evidence of what works in this regulatory area. They will have experience of designing and delivering intervention strategies to support students to access and succeed in a higher education context, and experience of developing evaluation plans to contribute to the continuous improvement of activity, processes and working practises.
The role requires excellent organisation and project management skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with both staff and students. The role holder will be a proactive problem solver who is open to change and is motivated to improve student retention and success by addressing barriers to engagement, and fostering a sense of belonging and mattering for target learners - amongst them, between them and with the University as a whole.
