Are you passionate about crafting seamless, engaging digital experiences? Do you thrive on optimising websites for performance, accessibility, and user satisfaction? If so, this is your chance to shape the online presence of a world-renowned educational institution.

At University of Cambridge Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), our mission is to make lifelong learning accessible to all. We design and deliver a diverse portfolio of world-class short courses and qualifications across a wide range of disciplines.

Continuing education is one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving areas in both UK and global higher education. As a recognised leader in the field, tracing our roots back to 1873, we're proud to offer high-quality, distinctive programmes for adult learners, many of whom study part-time for personal enrichment or professional growth.

The Role

As our Website Experience Manager, you'll play a key role in managing and evolving the PACE website. You'll be part of the collaborative External Engagement Division, which brings together marketing, student recruitment and admissions, and alumni relations, using your digital expertise to create an intuitive, accessible, and strategically aligned online experience. From SEO and analytics to agency coordination and technical enhancements, you'll be the go-to person for all things web.

You'll be joining a warm, supportive team that's passionate about what we do. It's a genuinely welcoming place to work, where your ideas and contributions will be valued.

What you'll do:

  • Own the day-to-day management of the PACE website, ensuring it delivers a high-quality, intuitive experience that reflects our brand and meets user needs.
  • Optimise the site for search engines and user experience, using tools like GA4, Hotjar, and SiteImprove.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and an external web agency to deliver continuous improvements.
  • Use data insights to drive performance, improve conversion rates, and support digital campaigns.
  • Support and train colleagues in CMS best practices and content accessibility.

Your skills:

  • Proven experience managing websites and content management systems (Drupal preferred).
  • Strong understanding of UX, SEO, and digital accessibility standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
  • A degree or equivalent professional experience.

This is more than a technical role; it's a chance to make a real impact on how learners, partners, and the wider community engage with our digital presence.

Benefits

  • 41 days annual leave, inclusive of Bank Holidays
  • Defined benefits pension schemes
  • Flexible working options
  • Family-friendly initiatives
  • Career and Professional development opportunities
  • Support for health & mental wellbeing
  • Discounts on shopping
  • Rental deposit scheme
  • Public transport season ticket loans

We welcome applications from individuals interested in flexible working arrangements. This opportunity is open to both external candidates and internal applicants seeking a secondment.

This is a hybrid role, giving you the flexibility to split your time between remote working and in-person collaboration. You'll be based at Madingley Hall, located just outside of Cambridge city centre, twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays), with the rest of your time working remotely.

Please ensure that you upload your CV & a cover letter (the length of which must not exceed two pages)
