We are currently looking to recruit an academic professional with the skills and ability to inspire our Public Health students with your expertise in one or more of the following areas:
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Enthusiastic academic professionals to contribute to teaching, assessment, curriculum design at TU London.
Your responsibilities will include the delivery of innovative, engaging and effective teaching, providing pastoral support, supervision of projects and contribution to professional development and business engagement. You will engage in management activities such as module leadership, produce appropriate documentation and collaborate with colleagues to disseminate best practice.
You will have knowledge and experience in the design and delivery of effective teaching and assessment postgraduate level using a variety of approaches, along with methodological expertise and knowledge of including quantitative, qualitative approaches and epidemiology. A background in Public Health would be advantageous – You will either hold a masters degree and extensive professional experience in a related field, or a PhD in a relevant discipline. The ability and expertise to teach a range of Public Health subjects is an essential requirement along with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including local authorities, healthcare providers, community leaders and the voluntary sector.
Your skills and expertise will include exceptional oral and written communication skills, IT skills to produce effective materials and engage our students. You will have demonstrable ability to exercise initiative, creativity and judgement in applying appropriate approaches to teaching and learning, research and scholarly activities. You will have the capability to support student retention through caring for our students’ pastoral needs.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory DBS disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of our clearance procedures.
