The University of Aberdeen’s Rowett Institute is part of the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences & Nutrition and is a vibrant and exciting working environment for both established and early career researchers. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and be working in the excellent purpose-built facilities in the Rowett, and its Human Studies Intervention Unit. This 6-8 month post covers a maternity leave.
We are seeking a Research Assistant or Research Fellow who will work on the project entitled “Understanding facilitators and barriers for consumers to make healthier and more sustainable food choices”. This project forms part of the Scottish Government-funded Strategic Research Programme which we deliver along with five other globally renowned institutes as part of Scottish Environment, Food and Agriculture Research Institutions (SEFARI).
This temporary post will support with the delivery of the Food Swap study. This will involve the recruitment of participants, the day-to-day running of the human intervention study, and the collection and analysis of data.
For appointment as a Research Assistant, salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 5 scale, £32,546 - £36,130 per annum, pro rata.
For appointment as a Research Fellow, salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 scale, £38,249 per annum.
