About us
The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes, and has a reputation for world-leading research and teaching.
About the role
In this extremely important leadership role, you’ll lead SoM’s dedicated MBA Careers provision. Our MBA offering is expanding at pace, and is seen by UCL’s management as a key area for further investment and growth.
This is a “start-up” job where, as the first dedicated Careers resource for our MBA cohorts, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing and delivering a first-class programme of careers activity to students / alumni of the UCL MBA Global Management within SoM.
This would include individual/group coaching appointments, workshops, seminars, and developing an online learning portal, focusing on all aspects of executive level career development and support across global labour markets.
A full job description is attached to this advert.
About you
UCL MBA students are often senior executives with considerable work experience behind them, located in all parts of the world, and spanning a wide range of ages. You will therefore need to have a high level of confidence and experience, and a global perspective, to be able to effectively relate to our MBA students.
You'll need substantial experience supporting executive-level clients in a coaching capacity through all aspects of their career planning and development, including navigating challenging professional situations and career changes/transitions.
You should also have experience of developing online learning resources and other careers activities (e.g., workshops/seminars), and be a confident presenter/facilitator. You should be effective as a manager of both projects and people.
If you have previous experience of working with MBA students in a business school setting, then that’s great. But if you don’t, but tick our other boxes, we’d still love to hear from you!
Please review the job description, paying particular attention to the essential and desirable criteria, and ensure these are covered in your application.
