Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield
Main duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide a dedicated and professional customer facing service to University of Hertfordshire, employers, students, graduates, staff and alumni in the provision and promotion of work experience, shadowing, part-time roles placement, and graduate opportunities. You will develop and account manage employer relationships with local, national and international organisations to maximise work experience, shadowing, part-time roles, placement and graduate opportunities for University of Hertfordshire students and graduates.
You will design and deliver appropriate events, resources and packages to our students and graduates. These may be both face-to-face and virtual with the aim to support students and graduates into graduate roles. You will also be proactive in contacting finalists and recent graduates via email, social media, telephone and video calls to offer, guide and track them through appropriate levels of careers and employment support.
Skills and experience required
You should have experience of establishing and supporting effective relationships with employers and/or students and graduates in the context of graduate employment and work experience in the Higher Education sector. Previous proven relevant experience of recruitment, employer engagement, careers advice or similar and experience of managing a project, recording project progress and impact, reporting and evaluation is essential.
You will have excellent organisation and communication skills combined with the ability to negotiate with, engage and motivate others. You will also be digitally and data literate, with the ability to manage, interrogate and maintain large datasets and have excellent leadership, team building, and decision-making skills combined with the ability to motivate others.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of a Degree or equivalent or substantial relevant proven experience.
