We seek an enthusiastic individual to act as Group Administrator within the Information Engineering Division at the Department's site in Central Cambridge. The Information Engineering Division is broadly concerned with the generation, distribution, analysis and use of information in engineering systems.
The Divisional administrative office is the centre for the division's activities and we are seeking an individual to work alongside the Divisional Administrator to provide an administrative service to the Division to facilitate the efficient operation of these activities.
You will provide general support to students, researchers and visitors as well as supporting senior staff and Heads of Groups. You will also be responsible for the administration of the Division's IIB projects which run throughout the academic year, which involves close collaboration with various stakeholders including, academic and research staff as well as 80-90 students over the course of the year.
You will be joining a friendly team of seven other administrators in the Division and so the ability to work as part of a team and build rapport with colleagues, academics and students is essential. In order to achieve this, you will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to provide leadership when necessary.
The successful candidate will be educated to at least A level standard or possess an equivalent level or experience, with good IT skills as well as experience of financial management. You will have excellent administrative skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage and prioritise a diverse range of activities.
