About the Role
The post holder will be joining The Centre for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London as a Study Coordinator for the PREDICT-PD study (PREDICT-PD https://predictpd.com/), funded by Parkinson’s UK.
PREDICT-PD is a large cohort study led by the Professor in Neurology and Neuroepidemiology at Queen Mary University of London in collaboration with University College London, which aims to identify people at risk of developing Parkinson’s disease years before the condition is currently diagnosed.
The appointee will manage the study and direct administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of PREDICT-PD so that it achieves its milestones. Key responsibilities will be to deliver sub-projects within the study focused on transitioning between web-portals, linkage to health care records, overseeing large-scale sample collection, promotion via social media and completion of recruitment targets. The post will also involve liaison with participants and researchers.
About You
Candidates must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject. The ideal candidate will have sound experience in coordinating and managing projects and is familiar with good clinical practice. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary professional team of healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients/public groups is essential. Knowledge of Parkinson’s disease or other neurodegenerative disorders would be desirable.

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres which, though complementary and following the Institute strategic plan, also have Centre-specific objectives and requirements. The Centre for Preventive Neurology brings together an expert team to carry out revolutionary new research into Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s Disease.
