The Student Wellbeing Service is a multi-disciplinary team providing professional support to students, working in collaboration with colleagues and departments across the institution in the promotion of positive mental wellbeing for our students. The team comprises; The Disability Team and The Mental Health and Wellbeing Team (including Counsellors, Mental Health Advisers and Wellbeing Advisers.) 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a manager for the Mental Health and Wellbeing Team, which includes our Counselling, Student Wellbeing Advice and Mental Health Advice services. The role holder will lead, manage and develop a professional, welcoming and accessible service, supporting the team with casework and to manage and reduce student risk. Working with the Head of Student Wellbeing and the Disability Manager the post holder will support a multidisciplinary team to offer our integrated approach to student support. They will take responsibility for the evaluation and monitoring of service outputs, using data to allocate resources and respond to service demand.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience, with a professional qualification appropriate to mental health care e.g. Counselling, Mental Health Nursing, Clinical Psychology. They will have experience at managerial or supervisory level and ideally have worked in higher education in a student experience/welfare/support capacity and be knowledgeable about current issues in relation to mental health and wellbeing in Higher Education.
