Transport Operations Supervisor

Job description:

We have an exciting opportunity within Transport Services and the Estates and Facilities Management department.

Contributing to the Estates & Facilities Management strategy, as Transport Operations Supervisor, you will plan and coordinate the day-to-day running of front-line operations across the Transport Service. Your primary role will be to lead and support other colleagues in the Transport service as they provide a comprehensive fleet management and travel solution across the University of Sheffield.

You will also be required to undertake various people management duties, including resource allocation, performance management and the development of colleagues.

Working with a range of colleagues, students & suppliers, you will be specifically responsible for the efficient and compliant facilitation of vehicle hire & fleet management services, using well established processes & digital systems.

To meet the customer & legislative requirements of the service, you will be expected to demonstrate sound leadership of a flexible, committed team, making informed, knowledge based decisions and taking the initiative in response to unforeseen challenges. You will need to show resilience and be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
