We wish to appoint a Research Assistant to work on a project with the TIMELY Team, in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Cambridge. The TIMELY Team is working to build clinically useful digital tools to predict mental health problems in children and young people and to support prevention pathways.
The appointee will work with the Research Associate leading the project Dr Rachel Sippy, along with other members of the team at the University of Cambridge (Dr Anna Moore), the University of Manchester (Prof John Ainsworth), and Swansea University (Prof Ann John).
The research project is focused on developing data resources and the development of predictive models of risk for mental health outcomes among children and young people. The Research Assistant will contribute to the creation of a population-wide, multi-agency dataset called CADRE, which combines data drawn from healthcare, social care, education, and other services. Following a preliminary protocol, the Research Assistant will perform standardisation of raw data to the OMOP Common Data Model, liaising with data providers and experts as needed. The Research Assistant will also assist in preparing metadata for CADRE, including a data catalogue. They will be responsible for some administrative and support tasks for the team. They will be supervised by the project lead and will participate in team meetings. Contribution to publications will be needed. All necessary training will be provided.
