About the School / Service
The Strategic Development & Delivery team works in partnership with stakeholders across the institution to support the delivery of our vision to 2028 and beyond.
About the Job
As Head of Change Management, you will develop and lead a team of Change Managers, alongside embedding a comprehensive change management framework and toolkit and helping the university grow its change capability at all levels. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to develop the change management maturity and approach for the university, ensuring leaders, managers and staff are equipped to lead, deliver and embed our transformation initiatives and vision. At UEL, we are committed to helping you achieve your ambitious goals. Using our Prosci site licence, we have access to a range of resources to support progressing UEL’s change maturity. You’ll develop a community of change agents that help support and embed change to the benefit of the whole UEL community – these are just some facets of this rare opportunity.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic foundation, holding an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) alongside a recognised change management qualification. You will bring demonstrable experience in leading cross-organisational change portfolios within large and complex environments, applying structured methodologies and tools to deliver programmes and projects of significant scale.
You will be adept at developing and delivering tailored coaching and support to colleagues and senior leaders, strengthening organisational capability for change. Your ability to design and facilitate engaging workshops, training sessions and adoption-focused activities will be complemented by exceptional strategic communication skills, enabling you to build trusted relationships and manage stakeholders effectively.
As a confident leader, you will have experience guiding and supporting teams of change professionals, fostering collaboration and peer support while maintaining resilience in situations of ambiguity and transformation.
