Research Software Engineer (NCAS-CMS)

Key Duties:

• Install underpinning software on current high-performance computing (HPC) systems and emerging Exascale platforms.
• Develop, maintain and run complex modelling workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve specialist user queries.
• Develop and maintain data management services.
• Manage internal CMS infrastructure; including improving the CMS web presence and working with CMS group members to produce documentation and showcase recent work.

You will have:

• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, FORTRAN, C, C++.
• Familiarity with modern software development and software engineering practices.
• An Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with a strong numerical or computational component (or equivalent experience).
• Good problem-solving skills and desire to overcome technical challenges and improve existing systems.
