Lecturer (Edu), Commercial/Corporate Law; Law & Tech or IP

The successful candidate will be required to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level and will contribute to the School’s administration/outreach activity. They will be required to deliver high-quality teaching in Commercial or Corporate Law; Law and Technology or Intellectual Property Law and elsewhere as need arises.

The School of Law is committed to mentoring and development and holds a Silver Athena SWAN award. The successful candidate will be given time to develop their scholarship within the post and will have the opportunity to contribute to School administration as appropriate to the stage of career, and with a view to supporting career development.

About the person:

Essential Criteria:

• A degree in Law (UG or Masters) at 2.1 or above or a UG degree in a related subject with a Masters Degree(or equivalent) in Law.
• Have or be about to obtain a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject
• Scholarly interests that are sustainable and which complement the strategy of the School of Law.
• Demonstrable ability to contribute to the teaching of law subjects at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, in particular related to Commercial or Corporate law; Law and Technology or IP Law
• Willingness to contribute to teaching across core undergraduate modules, for example in company law; tort law; or the law of contract
• Demonstrable ability to contribute to broader management and administrative processes.
