About the role:
The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) is seeking a committed and intellectually curious Research Associate in Ismaili Studies (South Asia Focus) to contribute to the Institute’s world-leading research, teaching, and outreach in the field of South Asian Islamic studies.
Working within the South Asian Studies Unit, the postholder will carry out high-quality research on Ismaili communities and related Shi‘i and Sufi traditions in South Asia, and will contribute to publications, conferences, and academic events. The role also includes teaching on IIS postgraduate programmes, supporting student supervision, and engaging in outreach and knowledge-exchange activities across the Institute.
This is an exciting opportunity for an early- to mid-career scholar to develop their academic profile while contributing to a globally respected institution at the forefront of Islamic and Ismaili studies.
