Clinical Tutor - Dispensing Optician

Join CEE as a clinical tutor and help shape the next generation of Optometrists.

About the role

As a registered Dispensing Optician, you will have responsibility for high-quality care for all patients seen by students and be expected to be competent and up-to-date in all areas of dispensing and adhere to policies and guidelines of professional practice outlined by GOC registration.

You will:

• Be expected to supervise dispensing clinics, which would include: dispensing, verification and adjustment of optical appliances.
• Will need to record each supervised clinical episode outcome with relevant feedback on Pebblepad.
• You may be asked to examine GOC competencies and record the outcome and feedback on Pebblepad.

You will:

• Be a qualified Dispensing Optician
• Habe a minimum two years’ post-qualification experience
• Be GOC registration
• Habe excellent communication skills
• Be supportive, organised, and collaborative approach to clinical education

You must currently be registered with the following registration board: General Optical Council (GOC)
