We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering for a Senior Technician to support our Electrical and Electronics Operations. We’re looking for a motivated technician to deliver outstanding technical support to staff, students, and external clients. You’ll be at the heart of our research and teaching, ensuring every project runs smoothly.
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated professional to provide expert advice, guidance, and hands-on support across a wide range of technical projects that drive our research and teaching forward. Based in our school laboratories and workshops, you’ll use your experience in specialist electronics, IT, and control systems to design, install, and refine custom rigs, instruments, and machinery. Collaborating across our electronics, electrical, and mechanical workshop teams, you’ll play a key role in developing innovative solutions to complex research challenges
The successful candidate will have experience of design and delivery of custom technical solutions around instrument interfacing, programming and design and build of custom electronics solutions in support of research and teaching. They will have experience of managing technical projects, staff and resources in a complex and demanding environment and will have a Technical Professional Registration or the willingness to work towards it.
