What we’re looking for
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Lecturer or Senior Teaching Fellow to join our dynamic team at Liverpool Business School. This is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver high-quality teaching and learning materials, while contributing significantly to the planning, design, and development of innovative academic programmes.
Your appointment will be at Senior Lecturer or Senior Teaching Fellow level, depending on your experience and profile. In this role, you will take responsibility for the effective management of teaching activities and actively engage in scholarship, research, and professional or knowledge-exchange initiatives that enhance your practice and subject expertise. You will also undertake administrative duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
We are looking for someone who can make contributions to the academic work of the School, particularly in Accountancy (Financial and/or Management), Data Analysis for Accounting and Finance, MS Excel (including Power BI), and Mathematics/Statistics. You will deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and seminars at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervise postgraduate students.
To succeed in this role, you will hold an honours degree and a postgraduate qualification in a related discipline, alongside a professional accounting body qualification and membership. A PhD or equivalent qualification (or substantial professional practitioner experience) is essential. You will also have, or be willing to complete, a higher education teaching qualification such as the LJMU PGCertLTHE within the three-year induction period.
This is a key moment to join a welcoming, ambitious, and research-informed university community that places students at the heart of everything we do. We value and invest in our staff, offering meaningful opportunities for professional development, scholarship support, and clear internal promotion routes.
