Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer.
- THE ROLE -
The postholder will lead and coordinate Ulster University’s engagement with global university rankings and related reputation initiatives, with an initial focus on the QS World University Rankings. This is a strategically significant role at the intersection of data, communications, and reputation management. It will drive institutional performance, raise Ulster’s global profile, and support the University’s ambition to strengthen its position as an internationally engaged and outward-looking institution.
While QS will be the primary focus in the immediate term, the post will also play a pivotal role in developing Ulster’s longer-term approach to global reputation, including enhancing visibility, evidencing impact, and supporting external engagement with other benchmarking and performance frameworks as these evolve. The Project Manager will act as the central point of coordination across faculties and professional services, ensuring coherence, collaboration, and momentum. The role demands initiative, analytical ability, and the confidence to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and external partners.

- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent Level 6 or higher qualification) in a relevant discipline such as business, communications, project management, or a related field
- Significant experience managing large-scale, cross-functional, or strategic projects within a complex organisation
- Experience in data management, performance analysis, or institutional reporting
- Experience and demonstrated success in delivering projects or initiatives that improved organisational visibility, reputation, or performance
